I am in a passionate uproar about saving the earth. I have been brushing up on my "issues," and I am appalled by what I read and see around me. Mostly I feel for the animals and plants around the world that are suffering and dying in pain from what we as a species have done. My goal in life is definately to put the mesage out that unlimited consumption is like an individual spending all of their money on diamond studded nails which may be driven into their casket. How can I live simply and what can i do starting now?

1) have a ritual with Nicole and John and the butterfly I found in a park (have the ritual in the park, that is) to pay homage to all the suffering plants and animals in the world - have a list ready to read off of issues/names surrounding issues - so that possibly we may be stimulated to do something

2) buy only organics whenever possible

3) stop using disposable cups/styrophoam, etc

4) do more actions in the community, write more about issues and send it out the community, go to poetry readings, etc.

5) use as few products as possible, bulk whenever possible

6) over Xmas - help Adam grow a garden

7) work for Greenpeace over Xmas

8) write a million letters over Xmas

9) write poems, essays over Xmas to read in the community
