Last May, a memorial fund was started in Lauren's name. Its proceeds will be used to build and maintain a meditation garden in Austin, TX that will function both as a place for family and friends to go and remember her and as a beautiful garden for the public. This website will provide updates of its progress - I plan on sending out an email to everyone who signs the electronic guest-book when it opens. Additionally, for Houston residents, there is now a plaque honoring Lauren on the memorial wall in the Temple Emanu El at 1500 Sunset Blvd.
